OUR STORY
Welcome to Layerstone Ranch, a family-owned and operated farm, established in 2022. As first-generation farmers, we made the leap from city life to the countryside, seeking the peaceful rural lifestyle for family. We fell into farming by accident and each year have embraced it more deeply by adding more and more animals, all while renovating our 1870's stone farm house, and raising our three young daughters.
As proud members of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA), Ontario Sheep Farmer's Association (OSF), and American Kunekune Pig Society (AKKPS), we are fully committed to ethical and sustainable farming practices and strive to demonstrate this commitment every day.
