Livestock Care
Q: What kind of care do your animals receive?
A: Our animals receive daily care, including access to fresh food and water, grass, and high protein grain. We also provide them with plenty of space to roam and forage for food. They are vaccinated and regularly checked for ailments to ensure they are as healthy as possible.
Q: Are the animals free-range?
A: Yes, all of our animals are free-range. We believe in providing our animals with the space and freedom to live as naturally as possible. We have several acres of pastures that our animals rotate through to ensure the best possible care for both them and the environment.

Ordering
Q: How can I order from Layerstone Ranch?
A: You can order through our website or by reaching out to us directly with your order details. We will respond with confirmation email and arrange for payment. Note that we do not offer shipping or delivery. Orders must be collected directly from our farm or the abattoir.
Q: Can I select my own cuts?
A: Absolutely! When you order in bulk, we will send you a cut sheet to select the specific cuts of meat you want. We work with a local abattoir who will process your order to your specifications, including whether you want it vaccum-sealed or not.
Q: When will I get my order?
A: We are a small operation and we have a limited quantity of meat for sale. You can contact us anytime to be put on the waitlist and we will contact you to tell you when to expect your order.

Pricing
Q: How much does it cost to purchase meat at Layerstone Ranch?
A: Our pricing varies quite a bit and is influenced by animal type, hanging weight and current market prices. Individual cuts tend to be the most expensive, while bulk orders are offered at a discounted rate. Please contact us for specific pricing information. We accept payment via e-transfer, cash, or cheque.
